Just a thought ... questions even !

DESKTOPS

My desktops tend to be very cluttered ... I leave icons lying around representing the folders of projects I am working on ... a bit like my messy desk ... messy briefcase ... messy mind

What's your's like ?

BACKGROUNDS

I have a scene from a two street village we discovered when in the UK ... we walked down a grassy, hendge enclosed backlane between the two streets and I shot a picture, frame by the overhang across a nearby main road and (unfortunately) more modern housing encroaching up the valley:

SCREENSAVERS

At one stage I had B&O pictures on my desktop background ... and even made up a screensaver collection.

But at other times I had a Fine Art (and I do mean FINE art, i.e. not cheesecake) collection.

But on the BV8 screensaver I have over a thousand images of the English countryside ... what do you use ?

(and on my work PC it is a picture of the fabric selector)

No other posters, so here goes.

About the normal amount of icons on the desktop, here. (A LOT cleaner than any of my real desktops!)

Rack mounted circuit boards ... but what are they for ?

Here are my iPod images, the lock screen holds a picture of BeoLab 5000s and if you look closely through all of the apps, you will see a tonearm from a BeoGram 1202.

Here is my laptop background, a shot of my beloved blue steed! This is about as good as Ohio gets as far as scenery

My background has seen many B&O images as well! I have a huge file full of B&O images that used to act as a screensaver but I turned that off and I have no memory of why...

I used to have it (that PC died) and loved the juxtaposition of the old and the new :-)

Absolutely nothing to do with B&O but it does relate to analog video. This is about the most beautiful piece of engineering I have ever seen, perfectly planned-out structure and everything completely marked (blue/red boards and row numbers to show where to put any of the cards) and indicated.

And there is more... there are two columns of boards! Every board has two metal forks that are used to pull the board out.

Well, here is mine, prefere to have most used visible, I like your Honda Evan, but Ohio looks like Denmark in the winter.

Thank you Søren. This picture was taken this year, I think in the very early spring. Tomorrow I will be in the same area and will try to recreate the pic with summer foliage!

I have also been challenged by a friend of mine - BeoWorlder even - to find even better looking Ohio scenery to place behind my car. Right then, time to start scouting for covered bridges and whatnot!

One of the things I mis a lot here in Mex. is the changing of seasons, here there is nearly no difference, and I really enjoy the Danish spring and autum, beautiful colors all around, so yes Evan show me a real Ohio summer pic, and let me get a little sentimental , just shipped my youngest to Denmark for University study.

It's not that I hate the look of Beolab 5's. I think they only work well in large rooms, because of their big visual impact. Unfortunately my living room is not that big. I love old Porsches, though.

Don't worry, I have a plan!!

So I have just bought myself a new laptop and have been trying to come up with a background. And what do I think of next? I thought of this thread, and how I haven't fulfilled my promise of a proper summer pic to Soren.

Today's challenge? - Get that pic!!!

Time to go get the driving gloves, I've got work to do.

We dont need your Honda, just Ohio, and which Lap did you buy ?, I just reloaded my old Toshiba from scratch, 2 days work with all the upgrades, PITB

I know Soren, but while I'm out I'll be snapping some of the Blue Steed Plus, I'm also in this for the driving!

I bought the Samsung RV520-W01. I previously used a Toshiba, L25-S119. The Tosh is going on 6 years now and its time to change comps before the old one breaks and causes me some gigantic problem when in school. My Tosh has been nothing less than perfect in terms of reliability.
