    A.Aux and Apps

I have downloaded the new software.  I am using media:connect as a renderer and server.

I have my BM5 connected ONLY via ML to the network.  There are no speakers directly connected to it.

When I use the iPhone/iPad as a Server, the BM5 will turn on and show that music is playing.  .but no sound?

I take it from this that when using the BM5 as a renderer there must be speakers connected to it?

Anyone have any experience with this?

I'm ready for something new that I actually want to buy!

I do not think that speakers need to be connected to the BM5. I have a BS5/BM5 connected by Masterlink to a BV 10 and a BV 7. Both tvs have speakers connected to the tv. I can control music with an app on my iPhone and iPad in both rooms, through speakers connected to each tv. I do not have much experience with MediaConnect as I could not get it to work at all for me. I have been using eLyric.

I am also able to use iPhone and iPad as server and the system plays the music without speakers being connected to the Beomaster 5. I have not done that much, however. Just did it to see if it worked and do not remember which app I used for that. I am traveling now or I would check it.

I doubt if it is with solemnly a BM5 at all possible.

Does the BM5 shows AUX in the start-up menu? If not so, I would say it will be impossible to connect a smart phone simular to the way it is now possible on the Beosound 5!
