DIY wall mounting Redline RL60.2 speakers?
I have the opportunity to buy a pair of RL60.2 speakers, but specifically want to wall mount them, and they don't come with any mounts (just the built-in stand).
Have any of you tried making your own wall mounts for these, or have any other suggestions? I've looked on eBay and on stbbrackets web sites, as well as my local dealer, and it seems unlikely I'll get ahold of the official hardware to do this.
Thanks,
-- Paul

Re: DIY wall mounting Redline RL60.2 speakers?
For RL 140 I made these, for the 60s they are smaller and for wall mounting they can be made simpler, this part is the part attached to the RL 140 stand to hook on the speakers.
Depending on your wall, concrete, gypsum, wood, I can make a bracket with inclination adjustment and 2 holes big enough for wall screws, the baseplate will be wider, the hook up lips as on the pic, but smaller, fitting the 60s

No, but a good workshop, 2 good hands, a brain and a 50 year old love for working with iron and steel

I have an even simpler solution. I just mounted 2 small hooks on the wall and hang the speaker on them. I will post a picture of it later.

If your wall is concrete wood or stone, this will do if you dont need adjustment posibilities.

He-he. I did the same when I had a pair of RL 60.2 -years ago. A very good, simple and cheap solution
I sold them, as I bought a pair of Beolab 5000, and I didn't have the space for too many speakers then. But now I live in a house and want B&O speakers in every room...until now I have BV 4500's, BV MC120.2's, BV CX 100's and ofcourse I still have the BL 5000's -but I sure want a pair of RL 60.2 or RL 6000 again. Nice speakers.

Oh dear Madskp, on whose advice have you mounted your speakers near the ceiling?
Don't you know anything about speaker positioning? Please rectify this as soon as possible!

Re: DIY wall mounting Redline RL60.2 speakers?

The speakers might just need to be turned a little downwards...
As in the catalog from the mid 80s.

I know they didn't sound to well i the position. As of now they are not in use the are just hanging there while they are waiting to find a new owner.

Re: DIY wall mounting Redline RL60.2 speakers?
Thanks for the photo. In my opinion (and I stress it is my opinion!) only one of the positions shown can possibly deliver the sound in a proper way. I appreciate it's an 'old' publicity photograph, but Hi-Fi has been around for many decades and this photo does not reflect well on B&O's idea of correct speaker positioning.
Bit of style over substance in this case I think.
