    BeoSystem 3 - 3D display option

    Someone can confirm:

The BeoSystem 3 manual published at the site shows a 3D Display option. I have a BeoSystem 3 since 2010. I requested my local dealer for an upgrade to have this option. He told me that it is not possible, that it is a complete new product and I am stucked with the old version. Is that so?

    I can not believe!

I was told the same by my dealer. Actually I don't care much as I do not desire 3D at home. I don't think it's worthwile

You could upgrade it in theory, but you'd spend just as much money as you would buying a new one.

What would the upgrade consist of? New panel? Entirely new BS 3? Just components?

    Beovision 10-40 with Beolab 1s and 6000s

As far as I know entirely new PCBs and a new connection panel (HDMI out instead of DVI) as well as the 3D sensor.  Put simply ... everything that's on the inside of the aluminum box.  At that point you'd only be keeping cosmetic parts from the original BeoSystem 3.
