    That is some serious equipment!Surprise

I have nothing in electronics that evan compare to my B&O stuff.

But if all "stuff" are considered, I really like my BMW M5, BMW 750 V12 TT and my (very slow project) Mitsubishi Starion.

Nice Pioneer stack, that reel deck is some of the best ever made Yes - thumbs up

Other "hi-fi" stuff must be the walkman I use when the ipod won't in case of a dead battery. It is not hi-fi, but considerably better than no music at all when travelling!

Favourite non-B&O non-audio/video stuff must be cars. Driving a Volvo 480ES at the moment

It is an oddball, but the handling properties of that thing is just about as great as sitting in a go-kart Whistle

As I dont have 10,000s of dollars to buy modern B&O equipment I use an Onkyo reciever/amp, connected is CD/DVD, Blu-Ray, Sat box, computer, BG 5000 and flat screen, out BL 8000s front, BL 4000 center, Surround S45s and high wide 2 noncoms.

good sound and a lot of posibilities, love it.

For my vintage BG 2404, BM 2400, BV 3702 and a BM 901 not connected as it is down at the moment.

I have a lot of non-B&O av stuff, i have integrated a pair of JBL towers and a Niles amplifier into one of my BeoSystems.

Non-av hobby is definitely cars. I have an obsession with Hondas but also have a 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that I have been restoring on and off for the last eight years or so.

If I include music and movies under the heading of "B&O" I would have to say:

books ... we have run out of shelf space

art ... we have run out of wall space

    coffee

    curry

    beer

    Laughing

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

Let's see: I'm a car fan, both old and new. Apart from that I love architecture and furniture designed by Poul Kjærholm.

I like the variety in this thread, I would've expected it to degenerate into cars only within a couple of posts Stick out tongue

But, really it's off topic in the general forum. The lifestyle subforum is exactly for this, and I'll move the thread there later today to allow some moment of notice...

EDIT: moved, hope the audience still finds this Smile

I'm currently loving a vintage Conway Stewart fountain pen which BeoWorld's very own 'Peter' bought me as an extremely generous gift.

I wrote a wedding card and present tag yesterday using it, which gave the whole thing a real touch of class!  Writing something in fountain pen these days makes it quite special I feel.

not sure my wife would appreciate being put in a bucket called "non-B&O" :-)

in another therad there has been a dialogue between Soren, Evan and Eugene about art, but no one followed up my comment about art !

so we have been lucky enough to have two artistic sons and therefore we have a collection of their paintings and some statues; although the son who has done the art work and game design of "Bean's Quest" is the professional artist

One of his pieces is a CD cover for a band/album called "Seth Sentry" - this is it:

our other pieces include Australia's famous Norman Lindsay and young woman, Sarah Gabriel, in the country:

Then take this for a test drive. I don't want one but it is an interesting attempt at making an exclusive mobile. Just imagine if it made in say...Denmark, wasn't tacky and had programmable and updateable Apple compatible software to make it more future proof....

Remarkable, but I own the same stuff, apart from the 5 series Touring, mine is a 3 series saloon. Smile I agree with Chris, get some winter tyres. I had no problem driving with all the snow we had last winter using those. Wink
