Don't think of it as torture.  Think of it as self-restraint and self-discipline.  ;)   After the nine hours, you can play with the BS8 all you want.  :)

    Re: Torture!!!

Congratulations, and I can definitely relate...  I bought a pair of BeoLab 1's three weeks ago.  Shipped them across the country.  Waited.  Waited.  They finally arrived last week.  I was heading out of town so I didn't have time to unpack.  Finally unpacked this weekend, and, whew, they survived their trip (I did hear a loud thud when the delivery guy dropped one from the truck on to driveway - he thought they were tarps - but, fortunately, they were packed well).   However, their "feet" do not arrive until tomorrow...

lol if it was me I'd have them leaning up against a wall to hear them!

I bought a pair of Beolab 8000s second hand a couple of years ago. The seller delayed posting them, and they arrived on the afternoon that I left  for Europe for 6 weeks! I didn't get to even unwrap them before I left!!

    Re: Torture!!!

I did connect them up, and they are laying on their backs on the carpeted floor.  I had to make sure they still worked... and, yes, they do Big Smile.  I thought about leaning them against the wall, but decided they were safer on the ground, and one more day to wait isn't worth the risk.  If they fall, they will not just damage themselves, but whatever they hit on the way down.

The Beosound 8 is a great piece of kit! Big Smile

So easy to set up, I just plugged it in and put my iPhone in the dock... est voila! Music to my ears.

I cranked it up a little, the sound is very impressive for its size.

I highly recommend it to all of those who are in the 'I'm thinking about it' stage Yes - thumbs up
