Sound from PC to Beomaster 7000

I connected to the soundcard in the pc, and then to the TV/AUX in the 7000 back panel, and I just get a tiny crackle when I connect and disconnect the plug. I have tried Foobar, VLC; nothing works, though the salesman said it would. Is there a setting I am missing?

I'm sure your DIN-to-3.5mm plug adapter is wired for the wrong direction (from the DIN to the plug).

You didn't miss anything, but the salesman did, as Mika said its probably wrong direction, get a Din to 4 RCA plugs, and a 3.5 Mm plug to 2 RCA, and connect to the in plugs coming from the DIN, that way you can connect other items to the AUX, not only your computer.

More flexible that way, and you are sure to have an in line.

My IPhone, on the other hand, works perfectly through the same 3.5mm plug, shoving music into the 7000, and out through the Pentas (useless information, but I just have to mention them), so that can't be the issue here, can it?

Sorry; why the RCA? Do they in any way improve the quality or safeguard the wiring, or... aha; you mean that this would give me a chance to test the wiring in the DIN? But, as I just answered Mika,, the IPhone works ok, so ...?

If your Iphone works, your computer should work with the same cable, if not, there is something wrong with the setup in your computer, check your software and how its configered, check for line out, speaker out, mixer, and sound out levels.

The RCA cable was a sugestion to be more flexible if you want to connect something else than computer or Ipod, the RCA is used in a lot of turntables, CD players, and amps or recievrs. In the AUX you have a stereo line in and a stereo line out.

Yeyah! It suddenly works. And I have no inkling... Thanks for getting involved!
