What happens if one enters the ballot, wins, and then is unable to attend?

I'm asking because I really want to go, but I haven't discussed it with my wife yet.

We'll have 18-20 'winners' (depending on the final total of places available - to be confirmed by B&O) - then a list of reserves as they were drawn.

I will inform the first 10 'runners up' that they are on the reserve list, then will need final confirmation from the 'winners' of definite attendance 3 months before the event.  If any of the 'winners' cannot totally confirm attendance, their place will be offered to a reserve.

I think this is fair?  Certainly, having a 'winner' wait until 3 days before the event, only to say 'actually, no - i can't make it'  would be stupid, as this places the 'reserve' in a near-impossible situation.

Seems very sensible. Tickets for transport will need buying some time in advance and 3 months would seem a reasonable length of time to allow.

This sounds like a fair way of doing things, however I'm just a bit worried that as I will be keeping my fingers permanently crossed for the next few weeks, I could end up with joint injuries......

We're currently standing at 100+ 'entries' 

10 more days to go before we close the door and get on with the lottery.  I think we'll have 20 places up for grabs to members, not 18 as first mentioned.

I think a month was ample time.  If you don't visit BeoWorld at least once a month, you can't be that dedicated!

Okay everyone - thank you for your interest and the myriad of applications.  

The time window is now closed and no more applications are being accepted.

I am now waiting for the exact dates from Bang & Olufsen, but the person organising the trip is on holiday at the moment.  Once she returns, then consults the relevant departments - then comes back with an exact date, I will let you all know.

In the meantime I'll collate everyones applications, allot them all a number, then next week i'll do 'the draw'.  I'll give you plenty of notice as to when that is, so we can all get excited..

I´m not sure that I can be more exited than I already am about this possiblity for a Struer visit.

And last night it was the monthly price draw... peuh..
