You can of course use the same tool to translate it to your native tongue if that helps!

Thanks Jaff, not sure how you managed to do that but that's really helpfull!

Søren, there is one word that makes us Dutch Embarrassed and I wonder how that results in a translation toolHmm Check the 5th line on my TomTom screen. What does that mean? Btw, Denmark, what a beautifull country, such nice people and relaxing to drive over there. One thing though, I could not use my Visa/Amex to pay in most restaurantsAngry, why is that?

5th line says " The Dune grill in Vedersø dune",  Klit = Dune, is a sand hill by the coast, Grill = Grill, Vedersø = name,

As for your credit card, most small restaurants and small shops outside the cities only accept Dankort (Dan card) if they accept cards at all, a lot of shops and restaurants, only open for the summer season, doesn't accept cards at all, its a mather of avoiding paying taxes.

Anyhow, I had problems too, with Visa some 50 % doesn't accept, Amex some 75 % no accept, funny thing is, Mastercard seames to be more accepted, nearly all bigger hotels and restaurants accepts all cards, but going to the Jutland west coast in the summer, a good rule is "bring cash", I have had ocations where I had to drive 20/30 Km. to a ATM and back again to pay a restaurant bill, leaving the family as hostages.Ick!

Quite right, I experienced the same.

Regarding the Dune, indeed I've been in Jutland at the coast side and saw mysterious brown clouds from far, can you imagine, looked very spooky. But good memories...

I am living 15 kilometres away from those dunes if that is correct!

I did my Army duty in Holstebro near Struer, the hunting grounds were a nurse school in Holstebro and the working girls from B&O in Struer, I got a job as bartender in Pingvinen, Struer (not Den Glade Pingvin but one only named Pingvinen, 1971) in the summer when the bar closed around 2/3 o'clock am, we offen had a gang that went nude swimming at nearby beaches. Oh yes memories, but home sick no. I love living in Mexico, its my second Fatherland.

At least here in Finland, Amex (and Diners') is not interesting at all for smaller merchants as they charge a huge commission compared to cards issued by Visa/Mastercard. Also you can't legally charge the customer differently for different paying methods - so if you aren't interested in paying for Amex customers' "free" gifts and flights, you don't even open the service...

If you want to get in trouble with only a credit card, try Germany! Iceland is on the other side of the scale, on my last trips I never saw any cash.

    I accept all cards! Cool

I too hate it when traveling and it's difficult to use credit cards. Germany is definitely a "Underdeveloped" country when it comes to cards... Laughing It's easier to pay with AMEX in Thailand than in Germany.

when traveling in the far east without hotel reservation, there is a good trick that nearly always get you a room in 5 star hotels.

Put on your Rolex have your Amex Platinum at hand, now go to the hotel check in desk, smile, present yourself, at the same time put your arm with the Rolex in sight on the desk, place your Platinum card on the desk and ask for room, it nearly always work, if not, top it with a USD 50.00 tip and you'r in.

Did not work for me wearing my Beowatch and my custom made Visa while I was checking in a 5* hotel in Tianjin China and the 5* food they serving. Instead I landed up a day later in the hospital caused by food poisoning. Anyway, I just heard that probably next week I have to go to Janderup (Dong plant). So memories are starting to come back and only 110 km away from StruerSmile
