No matter when you may be able to buy your Fully HD BeoVision 9, it will be your local dealer who will decide on the price that he/she will sell at, so I suggest you give him/her a visit at your local dealership.

    Regards Keith....

It will ship to customers starting July 17th. The price for the UK is as stated by Peter, but other European countries will see an increase in the range of €900 - €1.000.

A price increase would have been rediclious if they did. The plasma panels full HD cost less then a WXGA plasmapanel a year ago!

I don't think it is unfortunately unless you want to replace the whole panel.

I wanted to buy the BV9 as well early this year but then decided to wait for the 1080p... i guess the difference is not noticeable though.

    Hope this helps,

    Re: BeoVision 9 Full HD

Its not worth to effort to replace the panel, and not cost effective. Its easier to sell the old one and buy a new one. Even then, its very difficult to see the different between the two panels unless they are side by side.

    Re: BeoVision 9 Full HD

    ciao massimo!

my BV9 full hd will arrive on monday, 22 oct!!!!!

i'm very sad and angry about the price increase of 900 € but that's the fact, and we all know that is almost impossible to get a "sconto"

but i get the new beo5 for free, this will help to dry my tears....

also getting a beovox 1 with passive kit for the bathroom  and a complete masterlink in my home, so also the installation was free.

for more information  send me a pm

    saluti

Didn't your dealer inform you about the new panel that was just about the be released?

If not, I wouldn't buy a thing anymore by this dealer!

Joe, when you say it is not cost effective to replace the panel and the difference between 720p and 1080p is difficult to see, could I ask the following:

A dealer has offered me a three month old Beovision 9 at a 60% discount that is 720P.  I was thinking of purchasing it with the thought that the price is good enough that perhaps in a few years when there may be an even better panel than the current 1080p being used in the 9 I could replace the panel then and that the low cost now would justify getting a Beovision 9 plus being able to upgrade to some future panel. Your thoughts? Thanks!

That BV9 has to be more than 3 months old... I would check the serial number for production date....

It has only been on the showroom floor for three months. In June I purchased a pair of Beolab 9s from the same dealer at a 40% discount that had been on the floor for one month. They were connected to a Beovision 9 that was subsequently replaced with the one I am now looking at which includes the Beomedia 1.

Yes we have been very lucky happening to visit the store on the right day. But, the fact that it is only 720p is keeping from saying yes so far.

Also, I think the market/demand for B and O in the USA may be different than in Europe and elsewhere.

    Re: BeoVision 9 Full HD

Im in the USA :-) ... the BV9 768 actually.. is a great screen, I can hardly tell the difference between this one and the 1080 panels. I think the built in BeoMedia is a great plus. Besides you have BeoLab 9s, the built in center would match perfectly.

There is nothing to think about. Buy this TV quickly before somebody else does. At these ridiculous prices you would be absolutly mad not too. I struggle to accept that a dealer can let go of a BV 9 for 60% less the RRP and I worked in retail for many years. B&O products just don't get discounted by that margin, never. I really am at a loss but I encourage you to snap it up quick if this is indeed the case. The issue of 720p against 1080p is not even significant  when you consider the discount being offered. Its marginal and I wouldn't give it a second thought. This is the top of the line television in the range.

    hi all,

i have the full hd one now (type 9720), but i have a problem: when i connect my pc at 1920x1080, i don't have the full screen view, bu little black edges. it's at full screen when i put 1280x720. Can you help me?

Can the hd ready panel only have 720p input or 1080i also?

    thx

    Re: BeoVision 9 Full HD

My dealer in Melbourne offered me the demo non HD BV9 for only 20% off so you will have got a true bargain.  They must be a lot more hard-nosed out here!  Needless to say I didn't buy it!!

Can anyone tell me if the BV& 40 Inch and the BV9 have built-in Digital tuners.  A friend of mine has been pouring scorn on B & O for not doing so, saying that even Sony and Samsung  have built-in digital tuners for a fraction of the price!  Cliff

    Re: BeoVision 9 Full HD

The issue of B&O Beovision products still being sold with only analogue tuners has been rumbling on for sometime. Most Beovisions (but currently not the Beovision 8) now can have either the DVB-T or the DVB-T/S fitted as an option, but for existing users with a STB controller this is not so attractive. In many countries now, B&O are packaging Beovisions with the DVB option included and not as an option.

If you look at all B&O's marketing related to the Beovision 8 they are targeting it as a "Link" TV meaning the analogue RF output from the Master Beovision feeds the Beovision 8, but a lot of people wish to purchase it without it being in a link system and as it does not currently have the ability to have a DVB fitted that becomes a problem for the dealer and the potential customer.

    Hi

I have a beovision 8 and have a masterlink module installed in it, it is a link off a beovision 5 but in the UK anoglue is due to be switched off soon and i want to be able to watch digital TV in that room without using the link as using the link can stop others using in the link in other rooms in the house as i have a number of link tv and audio products..

So do you know if there is a DVB-T module yet or due out for the beoVision8
