I am in the process of moving at the moment and I have a piece of furniture which I sadly can't take with me.
It's from the 60s/70s at a guess and is basically as pictured:
As you can see it is reasonably large! (apologies for the rubbish pic)
The idea is there are several shelves and drawers (one large cabinet also inc. but not pictured) which you can hang on the slats wherever you like. As you can see I have my 6000 system on it with all the cables hidden behind the slats which I personally like the look of.
I believe it is rosewood but I'm not sure. It is very high quality and well constructed regardless of the material.
It's very period, although if it was resprayed in block white or maybe pastel colours or something it could look ultra modern with less shelves and say a BS9000, Beolabs and a BV7 mounted on it (which I'd love to do, funds permitting!). With the right imagination this is a seriously cool and no doubt quite rare piece of furniture. Good quality and in my opinion a nicer design than for instance Ladderax or similar.
Open to offers on it really! It's a shame I can't take it with me :(
Also, if anyone recognises the design and could shed any light on it I would be curious - I can't find a makers mark anywhere.
