    B&O Multimedia Bed

Totally surprised today when I opened the new Dutch HET (Home Entertainment Today) magazine; on page 2 and 3 there was an ad about "The Ultimate Multimediabed..." made by a cooperation between B&O and the Dutch bed manufacturer "Auping". Soon in some B&O showrooms in the Netherlands!

I tried to make some scans of the ad to show you this incredible bed! The scan quality is poor; but I hope it gives a good impression.

    Curious about your thoughts!

    Regards,

    Bieele

BATHROOM:  The beolab 4 is a bit too close to the sink. Better on the wall or ceiling.

BEDROOM: The "Playboy " decorating effect:  Black Bras left on bed.

I guess the pictures where not very clear or you guys (and girls) are less impressed then I am? Or is the forum just not that active anymore?

I will combine the two pictures to make the setup a little more clear.

The bed has a beovision 10 build in that is hidden in the foot of the bed. It looks like it automatically can be moved up and down. Furthermore the bed has a surround setup of 4 Beolab 4's and a Beolab 11.

    I think it looks great!

Hm, I find the bedside table to small to put a book and a glas of water on.

Eh, you posted the pictures late last night and early the next morning wonder why nobody made comments? Maybe we just had our very well needed beaty sleep? Give us time to wake up.

I looked and looked and now I got what you mean! LaughingLaughingLaughing Looks a bit risky...

Good to see stuff like this is being done, but personally I'm not too keen on the design. Particularly the BV10 absolutely does not want another frame around itself!

I can't see any BL4 in bath room, or any bra on bed. Are there moore pictures?

I could find the BL4 in the bathroom on the basin area

but I could not find the bra on the bed

Cool clearly it is time for both of us to get new spectacles Cool

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

What is the need for 4 Beolab 4's? The TV in the bed looks like a BV10 32", it doesn't have a Surround module, does it?

    Re: B&) Multimedia Bed

Coming back to this again, what I saw in the original picture looked like a white sink with a BL-4 to the right of it.

Now that I can see the entire photo, it appears to be a white bathtub. The BL-4 is actually on the footboard of a bedpost.

AND above the white bathtub is a BV-10 (and not a window to the outside ), using the same green-white display as the BV-10 pop-up on the bed. If I were taking a bath, the viewing angle might be a bit severe, similar to sitting in the first row in a theatre.

Having a set of BL-4 as many here do, I can attest to how fragile the coloured cloths are that cover this speaker. The occasional brush of a pillow, comforter or sheet on that cloth would wipe off or tear the edges of the speaker cloth.

I think it is good that the designer or design team is incorporating Bang & Olufsen products, but this design needs a LITTLE MORE work on the drawing board.

It all looks completely over the top and in your face to me. How is that set up consistent with the bed being a place of rest?! Not a good place to kip IMHO.
