Flaking Paint of BeoCentre 6-23 cable guide

A couple of weeks ago I took delivery of a new Beocentre 6-23 and everything was up to the normal B&O quality level except the cable guide at the back of the unit which is held on by two screws.

The curved guide had been spray painted matt black over the top of shiny black plastic and as soon as you touched it the paint flaked off.

I went to my B&O dealer and all their units on displayhad had the paint flaking off as well. I cannot understand why the guide was painted in the first place !

Has anyone else seen this problem ?

    Regards Keith....

Have seen this posted as a problem elsewhere and it seems daft! I suppose they wanted it to match! I suppose they should have roughened the plastic to accept the paint rather than spray onto a shiny surface. I dare say it will be a modification!
