    Beovision 10 - Freeview HD (DVB-HD/DVB-T2)

About to buy a beovision 10-40 but before I do, does anyone know if the tuner in the 10 is compatable with Freeview HD, have seen something about an update on the B&O website but not sure if that will make it compatable with the UK HD Freeview?

Are you sure?  The Spec lists DVB-T, and Freeview HD is DVB-T2.  It's not backwards compatible.

No I'm not sure, but I did not start the thread and thus the title of t, just added my question to it.  I'm aware from my dealer that there was a problem with the DVB HD receiver in BV10 because the regulator changed the system for UK HD at the last minuted and thus B&O were "caught out..."   I was told there may be an update released idc  so was just guessing that this was it.  I was just assuming therefore that the problem was just a UK issue?   Is there a wider EU issue?    I will simply ask my dealer to sort it out, TV is only 6 monts old so still under warrantee.  I'll let them take all thre risks in updating it.

You can blame the wonderful BBC for a lot of the problems with HD tv , particularly fressat HD. They changed the transponder to DVBS2 from DVBS without actually informing anyone last week.

    Typical.
