Hey everyone!

My memory isn't serving me well so perhaps you folks can give me a hand. I have an issue with both my 3000 and 2300 where the CD will not spin up when I press the CD button on the remote (or on the main unit). The display will simply say "CD" or sometimes "CD <>" but the CD doesn't spin up. Even if I press a track number, I can't get to player to start.

I initially thought it was a failing component in the CD drive circuit but since it's happening on both, I'm thinking it's user error. 

After I power off and power back on, the CD will usually work without problems. What am I doing wrong? This can't be the normal behavior?

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention, I often power off the entire system using a power strip since we get pretty good thunderstorms and lightening here in Texas. I'm not sure if the units don't like the hard reset.
