    Audio only with MX4200

    Hi

    I have an MX4200 that is working like a charm. On the two SCART connectors I have connected a DVD player and a settop box. When I play CDs on the DVD Player, it would be great to be able to switch off the TV screen and still keep the audio operational. Does anyone know if this is possible?

    On my Beovision 3 you do this by pressing 'AV' first.  Perhaps try this?

    My Beo4 does not have an AV button, so that doesn't work. I tried adding the "P.Mute" (picture mute) command to the Beo4 (which does exactly what I want on the new TVs), but this doesn't seem to work for the MX4200 either.

    Too bad. Still a great set.

    You should be able to add the AV function to your Beo4.  That's what I had to do to get mine to work.

    Hi Guy1680,

    I got it to work! Added "AV" to the Beo 4, then did "AV" and "DVD" and presto, the screen went blank and the sound of the CD I was playing remained. Another "DVD" brought back the display.

    Thanks a lot. I would never have found this by myself.
