Hi all,

Just changed the belt (46mm, 1.4mm thickness) on my new toy, a BG CD X 2, and it's working fabulously again!

Just one strange thing occurs: the lid closes, and then  jumps up again a couple of millimitres, then closes and all is fine, just as if it hiccups.

What should I adjust to make it close at once?

My CD 3300 does that too!

Not my CDX.

Go figure.

Maybe it's due to the CDX2 and CD3300 not having the extra spring in the lid mech that the CDX does have? Can't see why that would have anything to do with it though. I don't think it's normal, it used to be a very expensive CD player and should close smoothly!
