Beogram 4000 lifts arm too early

    Dear all,

Thanks for a lot of help so far. However, I do have a small problem with my Beogram 4000 lifting the arm a little early on some 7" singles, not playing all of the music. On other 12" albums, it sometimes does not lift the arm when the album is finished. I tried adjusting one of the contact springs ("A" in the service manual), resulting in 7" records being played all the way and the arm lifting, but then it wouldn't lift on 12" albums. Argh! Do you have any advice?

There is a "run off stop" circuit, that senses when the arm moves faster at the end of the record.I think from memory there is an adjustment, but also there may be a faulty capacitor preventing the circuit functioning correctly.

Adjusting the slides is for the preset start positions for different size records.

    Nick.
