    Bang & Olufsen s82 vintage

I have a set of two Bang & Olufsen s82 vintage I guess they are called, they are just the two speakers with the crossover circuit boards on the speaker housing. I am curious to know the value.

    Welcome to Beoworld !
S82 is not something, I've heard before.
Are you sure they are not S22 or S80.2 ?

Very difficult to feedback if we are not sure of the model. There should be a label on the back with a T number on - this will tell us the model. A picture would also help.

Yes, I already suggested that too.

I don't know all of B&O's speakers but I do know a lot of them, also some of the more exotic ones
and I've never heard of S82, nor does a search through all my collected documentation reveal any clues.
(Except for the VHS82 but that's a video tape recorder).

The fact that you have a pair suggests that we are somewhere in the
stereo age, in the Beo world that means apprx. 1962 and up, but that's just a guess.
It's certainly possible to have two older speakers.

Can you provide us with a photo or somehow describe the speakers for us ?

If you are not able to post photos I suggest you go to the top of this page, choose "Main site", there choose "Products", there "Product Browse", in the 1st select box, "speakers", the 2nd "Beovox", the 3rd "all products", there you will find a list of nearly all Beovox speakers produced. Check one by one, and maybe you will find yours.

Beosound 3000, BL 4000, BL 8000, BG 2404,BG 5000, BG CD50, Beocord 5000, BM 901, BM 2400, BM 4000, BV S45, BV 3702. There is nothing we cannot do, but a lot of things we don't want to do!!

Searching the net I found a Acustic Design speaker named S82, big, ugly and black

If it is S80.2, the answer is slightly complicated!!

The S80.2 is a good speaker - however the bass unit suffers from foam rot and almost always needs repairing. The capacitors in this model are also likely to be in need of repairing.  The pair pictured here were mine and required both new capacitors and new foam surrounds. They were actually given to me free by my old dealer a good number of years ago so I think I can say that the value of these is not high. A shame, as they really are rather good sounding. I suspect a pair will reach up to £75 on eBay.
