    3d projectors ?

Has anybody ventured down the route of 3d Projectors yet ?

I've been interested in this as well. Samsung has announced a 3D projector that will sell for $7000 to $8000 USD. Since Samsung projectors seem to be the recommended projectors for B&O, this one might end up being the preferred 3D projector for B&O.

This would seem a neat way for those of us with BS3's to add 3D to our Beovision rooms

My brother has an Optima set up in his bedroom . It's quite good but the picture seems very dark when it goes 3d.

Overall I'd be inclined to get a demo before buying or go the normal tv route myself.

Already having a Sim 2 projector connected to my BeoSystem 3, I've been interested in adding a tv for 3d. However, the need for routing new wiring through the wall and bypassing the BS3 to have a direct video connection to the tv is pretty unfavorable. It would also be hard to adjust to a smaller screen going from projector to tv screen. All of that makes a new projector more favorable.

    Re: 3d projectors ?

Interesting question Seanie, as you might know i also have an optoma HD65 and was disaappointed to hear that it cannot be upgraded/converted to a 3d model.

3d on large screen would be favourable than buying a new tv as HD movies/programmes is really good through the bs3 , my only gripe is sound through the 7 speakers including a separate centre speaker , i have resigned to using speaker 4 setup.

    Re: 3d projectors ?

I use JVC-X9 on a DNP screen. HDMI 1.4 directly connected to the player bypassing BeoSystem . Delivers great 3D impression on a 120" screen.

    Re: 3d projectors ?

DVE board, AVS and maybe DSM boardhave to be changed, and the new one have HDMI for Plasma and projector output instead of DVI and support 1.4

difference between BS3 MK2 and MK3 is DVE board (picture engine,AVS board (switching)and DSM board(sound)

    Re: 3d projectors ?

price for parts are not released yet for MK3 , but for MK2 it´s about 2000 euros for parts

so try to sell, and buy a new one instead, i think that is most economy in that

    Re: 3d projectors ?

    Bv7-40 mk3 and mk4 has Bsys3 MK2

beosystem 3 stand alone for bv4 are realesed

bv7-40 /55 in 3D are to be realese in july 2011 i think

the same parts (DVE,AVS,DSM) are different in bv7 (i am not sure if it's possible to have the old panel in bv7 with new bsys3)

bsys 3 MK3 have HDMI instead of DVI outputs
