    A8´s Fake without a doubt.

Re: A8´s Fake without a doubt.

Is it? And what about this one?

This seems to be a never ending story about fake A8's.

The only question I have now about these A8's is the black box. Does it or does it not belong to the original B&O packing? For the leather pouche in most cases you can clearly see the difference.

    B&O item 1, B&O item 2, B&O item 3,...................B&O item 735

    Beovirus? What's that?

I bought mine some years ago on an airplane and it came in the black box just as shown in the pic

I bought mine directly from the dealer in December, they were handed to me in that very style packaging.

Back when Apple carried A8s, they were also packaged this way.

I was told that whenever a black box is part of the package this definetely is a fake. Now I'm really confused! As said, a never ending story. And please don't say, go to the dealer to make sure to get an orginal one. My interest is just how to recognize a fake.

It may be posible, but its unbelievable that Lufthansa would sell fakes onboard their flights, I think that maybe the first 1 or 2 years B&O sold in the black box and later changed the packing, I bought mine 2001.

Re: A8´s Fake without a doubt.

There is a very informative YouTube video that compares real and fake regarding many factors beyond packaging. The video is even pinned at the top of the eBay thread.

The easiest to spot is the leather pouch, the fake one is really sloppy.

    Fake.

I am pretty sure there should be some more paperwork. There should also a be a few more extra earpads. Mine came with a full bag of 6. But who knows, that's small stuff and easily changed at the packing facility.

I am suspicious of the cable extension. Was that a regular add-in?

Another curious oddity about the new ones is the contents list. I think (not sure) the new transparent boxes state that a 1/8" > 1/4" adapter is included, but it really wasn't!

    Sorry, is this A8's fake?

The case is - a good reason to cover it up! That style of packaging is now out of date and has been replaced by the plastic ones. They have never come with a wire extension...

I would just skip this one.

Incorrect. Every pair i've bought at the dealer has had an extension cord included.

And yes the earlier years they were sold in the black box, but with B&O gliph in big silver font on the centre of the box, it's a cinch to identify once you have owned a pair of a8's, the pouch is totally different, the fake looks cheap and hand made.

From what I can tell, no. Those look real to me.

Hmmm, that is interesting. Could you share when you bought your A8s? My pair did not come with an extension.

I bought mine December of last year.
