As can be seen from the buttons it is a Beo4 Cinema. Made for use with a B&O home cinema set up, quite a limited edition.

The hotel ones had quite a few blank buttons to give limted control to guests.

    Chris.

The use of metaphors should be avoided like the plague. They're like a red rag to a bull to me.

I'd say its custom made as the lower case letters don't match the usual B&O typo in any way...

So you mean it´s not "official" from B&O?? I think so because it must be another PCB...

Re: What Beo4 version is this???

I'd say it's from the Business-to-Business (BtB/Hotel) section of Bang & Olufsen. It seems more elaborate than the "normal" hotel versions of the Beo4, but the use of MyVideo, MyPC and MyMusic gives it away. The rudimentary BtB website is actually called www.mybtb.dk.

It may be custom made for some large project, like exclusive time-sharing flats or perhaps a cruise ship.

In March 2010, there was a Beo4 Hotel for sale on eBay which had MyMusic and MyPC buttons. I didn't buy it, but I did save an image for reference:

Maybe a coincidence, but the photography is very similar to the first picture.

Well, that was kind of the point, wasn't it? Wink But the one I discovered on eBay had fewer buttons, so as to make it easier to use for hotel guests (and less tempting to steal).

BTW, could you tell me how to upload and attach a picture instead of referencing it with a URL?

two techniques for using images, I actual prefer the non-URL one

1/ load it under your profile, and then reference a copy of that image's address by clicking the tree symbol in the message icons when you do a post and pasting the address, (I guess you could reference any URL) OR

2/ in the tabs in the message post, instead of using [Compose] which is the default start, click on [Options] the next tab and upload a file

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

My guess: MyMusic = [A MEM], MyPC = [PC] and MyVideo = [V MEM].

As I wrote above, I believe these remotes are custom made for exclusive large scale installations like luxury time-sharing apartments. This would be an environment where people would bring their own laptops, MP3-players, digital cameras and camcorders. I'd thus expect there would be some kind of clever interface in the apartment with connectors for several kinds of unknown devices.

    MyGuess: MyMusic = [A.AUX2], MyPC =[V.AUX2] and MyVideo = [V.AUX3].

There are a few possible references to this in the file Commands\IR Command table.xml which can be found in the Beo5 configuration software. Look for sources BTB_2 (command code 0x98) and BTB_3 (0x99).

Pressing these mysterious keys would probably do nothing with our standard B&O systems.

They use different protocol, many time you can not use the beo 4 in a private space.
