    Beomaster 1000 help required

    Hi there.

I wish I could share some of the expertise and enthusiasm for B & O that you all seem to have. Unfortunately, whilst I can say I appreciate a lot of what B & O do (I fell in love with the 3200 after seeing it in Nip/Tuck for example!) I dont know a huge amount about them generally and hope that you kind people can help.

My in laws have accumulated a number of hi fi and stereo units over the past, and included in this LONG list of items is a Beomaster 1000 unit. It claims on the reverse to be 'Type 2316' and 'Serie 33' and seems to be in the Teak finish. Im sure a lot of you will know more about these numbers than I do, and so hope they mean something.

My reasons for joining this forum today are to gain any additional information on the unit. We are in the process of clearing space from the storage facilty where it is kept, and whilst my in laws would not necessarily want to sell it immediately, I dont know enough about the systems to utilise it fully, and believe that given some of the enthusiastic comments on here, that it should eventually end up in a loving home with someone who knows exactly how to get the best out of the unit.

Anything you can pass on about additional information you require to tell me a little more, or estimated value etc would be greatly appreciated, as well as the best avenues to ensure it goes to the right home as and when the time to sell approaches.

    Kind regards

    Matt

Have you read the information available on the main site?

Yep. Read lots of information from all over the net, but this site, or rather the people on it, seem to be the most knowledgeable and active.
