    Photo Competition Time

Below is pictured part of a B&O piece of equipment, all you have to do is guess what it is.

If you get it right you will win a fully working, 100% original pat on the back.

Im of to work now (I always miss the Wed thread) so answers in a day or two.

I adore these kinds of riddles!
Would it be a tool for tuning the presets on an old Beovision? Hmm

    Re: Photo Competition Time

First I saw it as a straight handle with ribs but now I see it as something angled with ribs,
showed with the pointy part of the angle upwards.

    Re: Photo Competition Time

I don't think it becomes narrower towards the top of the photo, I have a feeling that
it's because it has been photographed from the "pointy side of its angle".
Note the lighting reflections, light is hitting more on the top part.

The center part is definitely raised over the surface, carpet, towel or whatever as the focus is bad on this.

I also feel it is far too large to be a tape reel spindle.
It has far too many ribs anyways.

A hint because there is no size reference. This is approximately 3 inches tall and 1 inch across. It is a close up of a small section of an item. It is circular and tapers at the top.

It is a tricky one though.

The full item is much bigger, I will try and add another photo in the morning.

Indeed a nice thread but I'm sure it will be too new for me to recognize it.

Here is another picture. As can be seen from the condition its not new. Your still in with a chance Martin.

It doesnt say B&O on it anywhere, but there is a picture of one somewhere on the site.

It's a small stand of some kind... but probably not for any of the microphones we have on site Confused

    Bingo!! We have a winner

Pat on the back for Teddy_fr

It is indeed a giraffe stand for a Beomic. Unlike the one pictured in the brochure this one doesnt have the giraffe bit and never did according to the original owner so I suppose its just a Beomic stand. I will put up a picture of the whole thing in a while, got to go and fetch my chinese takeaway first!

I am often surprised when I find a new item that b&o made but didn't realise they made sink plungers!

Chinese has been eaten so here is a picture of it. As said before, the previous and original owner told me he got it like this with no "giraffe" bit as seen in the picture from the brochure as he just wanted a normal mic stand.

    Re: Photo Competition Time

I really want one of those BeoMics! Absolutely wonderful sounding mics, although they'll probably need re-ribboning. Don't send them DC current/phantom power! Surprise
