    MINT ?

Funny what some people's definition of mint is........

    It's mint, but it's got scratches.......Laughing

You see it all the time and when you ask they say, Yes it has been used Indifferent

This one is even better: New with a scratch :

    Re: MINT ?

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to post. If you look back you will see i listed a MINT beosystem some weeks ago. I then used the same template to list this second 7000 system. Clearly i missed changing the sub heading, for that i apoligise. I guess it easy to jump to assumptions but if the listing was misleading there would not be photos showing the scratches and the words "there are some scratches as shown"

    Still, great thread - cheers.

    Re: MINT ?

Easy mistake to make - I've listed a CD50 as a CD5500 before now due to copy and pasting.....Embarrassed

You're absolutely right - the listing was not misleading!

    Cheers

    Cheers guys!

It was one of those posts that I wish I hadn't sent as soon as I'd  sent it! I'm not one of those sensitive types - honest! I guess we all make mistakes and I'm the first to join in when someone else cocks up. On a serious note one mans "mint" can be very different from another's and as a reseller we spend a fortune on cosmetic parts to breathe new life into B&O products and make them mint once again. It's a word that doesn't come cheap and should not be used lightly so to come full circle I agree with the general feel of the thread!

It's quite clear there was no harm intended!

    Re: MINT ?

Hi Darren, ye got me worried there now!!!! Just bought a Bang & Olufsen 1000 on ebay and it cost me a 'mint'. It looks very good but am still a bit nervous having spent just under €700. If it is not right when it arrives do I have anywhere to have it put right? I believe that the out-put is increased with the use of an expernal transformer; where can I buy one of those?

    Kindest Regards,

    Gerald (Tibbles)

    Re: MINT ?

Do you mean a Beolit 1000 radio Gerald? (being a pretty pedantic bunch on here Bang & Olufsen 1000 could be one of many items to us).

If so, I assume it was from the ebay seller in Denmark. His radios are nearly always in very good condition from what I gather & I would suspect the description will be an accurate one.
