Upgrade BV7-40 MkIII to have ethernet connection possible?

    Hi!

Thinking about upgrading my BV7-Mk III...

Is it possible to add the ethernet connection as on the MkIV or MkV...

    Hi Lars

I am not sure, but i think not. What are you planning on using the ethernet for?

On recent BV7-40/55-BDs the ethernet socket is part of the BluRay Player
    (only for "BD-Live" & BD-SW-Updates)

Even an upgrade from DVD >> BD via retrofit kit won't help, since the BD-upgrade-kit
    has no ethernet socket.

Doesn't the Mark 3 already have an Ethernet socket on the back?

Thought I'd seen one on mine, although I'm sure it doesn't so anything!

The MKIII with an SD DVD player does not have the Ethernet socket nor is it a feature of the BD upgrade available. If you wanted to run firmware updates this I done via disc method from the dealer/service agent.
