    Beogram CDX

    Hi all

    i just become a happy owner of Beogram CDX belive it or not but i bought it for £10 from ebay

    when i open box and plug it in and press eject button disk tray lift up but with some cracking noise and it is loose/broken now...

    i think that something happend in postage because item wasn`t packed very well.

    is there any way to fix or repair it?

    it plays cd`s as it should but without tray...

    Did you loosen the transport screws??

    transport screws was in "play" position

    it was delivered by courier

    Hi

    Your comments on the fact that the lid is now loose seems to indicate that you have yet another CDX with a weak or broken hinge.  I would guess that the hinge was already damaged when the unit was sold.  If you read through the early posts, you will see that this is a fundamental design problem with this otherwise excellent machine.  Depending on how extensive the damage is, you might be able to repair it and that will be another fun project for you.  Take the bottom cover off from the machine (about 10 screws if I remember correctly) and have a closer look at the hinge components.  Post some photos and we might be able to help.
