    Bocenter 2300 vs Beosound 3000

What's the difference regarding sound quality between a Beocenter 2300 and a Beosound 3000 when used with a pair of  Beolab 4500?

And the main difference, generally speaking,  between these two models ?

Can both be used with a remote control Beolink 1000?

    Thanks

There is NO difference in sound quality between these two models.

The Masterlink socket in the 3000 is the only major difference between the two models. Beosound 3000's will obviosly be newer and possibly (?) more reliable but will be more expensive.

They can both be controlled with  BL1000 or Beo4.

For me its the large clamper on the bs3000 (even though small clamper are out there)  I think it looks a lot more modern and when finished in a matt silver!! also the bs3000 has masterlink but the other can be linked via a module.  Hope that helps

Also, the 3000 is compatible with N.MUSIC and N.RADIO; whereas the 2300 is not.

Net Music (N-Music on the Beo4 soft keys) and Net Radio (N-Radio) are what B&O originally implemented in their windows based BeoPlayer software and their BeoPort hardware box.  This gave the capability to play music that had been ripped and stored in iTunes and internet radio stations.

The capability has been extended (through programming works by some forum members) to Apple's Mac (OSX) platform as well as Apps.

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

Also, the 3000 is compatible with N.MUSIC and N.RADIO; whereas the 2300 is not.

The earlier versions of the Beosound 3000 (indicator: small clamper) were not capable of this, but software can be upgraded (around 100 Euro).

Re: Bocenter 2300 vs Beosound 3000

my beocentre 2300 has been connected to a beolink converter box which is mainly connected to my avant via the masterlink socket. from there is a powerlink and datalink cable which in turn goes into the beocentre 2300 via a 3 way cable in the aux socket on the bc2300

i purchased a 3 way cable from b&o and have my beogram9500 and powerlink connected to it via the aux socket on the rear of the beocentre 2300, i just unplug the beogram cable and connect up a dedicated beocable for an ipod.

thats how i have got round linking the system.

    hope this helps and others
