    BV 7-55 set up

    Dear All:

It has been a while since I have posted.  Post-grad work is just that work.  Well, update: My original first tele BV 7-40 died within three years of purchase. B&O of A tried several times to get the video fixed without success.  After grad school, I moved from the midwest to the east coast, dubious choice.

Well, B&O of A agreed to provide a new TV when I arrived to my new area.  The B&O in Bethesda, MD made me an offered that was very good.  They would allow me to upgrade to the 55 inch tele w/ blue ray for under under 5K USD.  At the time sounded like a good deal.

I was finally able to take delivery of the tele.  The price for them to come out is a bit high considering the price of the tele.  Not to mention that I helped the driver to get the tele in the house.  He was the only one which is crazy for such a large delivery.

I need help with the set up of the base, the tall one.  Does anyone have the instructions, tips and tricks to make it easier.

    Regards,

    Ruben Dario

    Re: BV 7-55 set up

First of all congratulations to your purchase ! A 7-55 "adornes" my home as well for just a few weeks. Beautiful and stunning to say the least.

Do you refer to the motorstand and a setup with BL 7-4 or BL 7-6 ?

Personally I would advise you to get in touch with your B&O dealer. If coming to your home for proper setup is out of the question for travel distance, I would at least ask him to provide you with the proper setup instructions of the base and how to attach TV and loudspeakers.  This is not a "Best Buy" purchase - IMHO you should be able to get at least proper remote support...

I did not setup the TV on my own - glad to have the "specialists" from B&O do it ... however, starting up the TV for the first time and then run through the user manual and do the setup of loudspeakers, preferences etc. was quite intuitive and less complicated than I thought...

Hope you get beyond installation soon ... Enjoy your new TV !

(PS. User / setup manuals for both 7-40 and 7-55 posted in Beoworld may be of help)
