Wall Mounted Beosound 8 - Issues with iPad - Rumour or Fact?

I have a Beosound 8 and thinking of wall mounting the my pride and joy! I have heard rumours of issues with the weight of the iPad and bracket of the Beosound 8 with it becoming unstable. Anyone else had this issue?

Also - I have it connected to an Airport Express - wondering how to hide the wires. Anyone done this?

    Thanks

You have an email - the wall bracket is not recommended with an iPad.

That's a bit rubbish, but in your case if you have an airport express you would never need to dock the ipad anyway.

What sort of wall is it? Stone, brick, cavity, plasterboard?

Peter, can't you comment on here? I was also looking at the Beosound 8 and the wall mount....plus own an iPad. I'd like to know if there are any issues, before buying.

Re: Wall Mounted Beosound 8 - Issues with iPad - Rumour or Fact?

“Because of the upright position of BeoSound 8 when mounted on the wall bracket and the size of the iPad, we do not recommend using the wall bracket for BeoSound 8 when the primary source is an iPad.

When you place an iPad in the dock, the iPad seems unstable for operation even when the support part is completely tightened. “

Just tried this. I don't see any issue whatsoever. Even when I forcibly wobble it it doesn't seem in any danger of bringing the wall down. Whatever that text is from seems overcautious.

There are at least two (I think) pictures (somewhere on Beoworld) of people's wall mounted BS8s

    Try the ever popular http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/t/32101.aspx

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

There is no way that's happening. Neither one weighs very much.
