B&O Beocord 2000 reel to reel tape recorder

I have had this B&O since new in 1965 and never wanted to get rid of it, having packed it away for many years.

I am now trying to hook it up and cannot locate the DIN connectors or power plug. Anyone have any ideas where I can pick these up?

From another post, I understand the current DIN connectors are incompatible with the original ones as the wiring layout was different, and of course, the power prongs are closer together than current power plugs today.

Also, it would be nice to identify what each input and output is, and therefore, I'll need to find a user manual or PDF of one.

Thank you in advance for any help!

It will work with a normal 5 pin DIN cable - We don't have the 2000 user manual though we do have the similar 1800. The power cable is trickier - it is a type used in a number of European models of the time - not that easy to get hold of - I would have another search!!

Re: B&O Beocord 2000 reel to reel tape recorder

    Welcome to Beoworld !

Many Beocord owners seem to have trouble with this since the original mains
cables tend to crack around the power plug but it really isn't a huge problem.
Many other producers used this type of power cord.
    Marantz, Revox etc.
Do a search on Ebay and they will show up.
