Dear Friends,
My name is Frank and I live in Holland. One of my collections is 60ties and 70ties stereo. A few weeks ago I bought the 8000 series: Beomaster 8000, Beogram 8000, Beocord 9000 and Beovox MS150. The Beovox ( four new foam surrounds ) and the Beocord ( new belts and inside cleaning ) are working now. The last two weeks I worked on the Beogram 8000. It did not work at all. I replaced all the capacitors and a number of the transistors ( TR18,19,20,21,29,30 ) IC3; D25,26; all the rectifier diodes. It has come to life a little: the 5 and 15 volts are working but the table spinning anti-clockwise and to fast; the arm does not move; the red light of the arm is on and the display shows: 0000
Now I have come to the point, that I do not trust the transformer: T56.I will give You the data ( with the Begram plugged in ) :
P7-4 and P7-2: 5 volts AC
P7-1 and P7-7: 17 volts AC
P7-8: 0.7 volts AC
P7-5: 8 volts AC
P7-11: 30 volts AC
Is this any good?
A complication is that I do not have the right service manual: the main PCB is not the same as on the schematics. Mine is the one with the two mini- PCBs attached to the main PCB.
P4-4 reads 0.04V That can't be good?, because there are two zener diodes 47V (D37 and D38 ) The result is that P4-1 reads 8V AC and P4-2 23V AC plus 5V DC; P4-3 is 30V AC.
Who can help me any further?
Greatings from Holland
Frank
