Got a BeoSound 9000 type 2571 EU. As the Service Menu shows CD error No.2 Focus

Before I get to order a new service CD kit from B & O, I want to hear if anyone here knows if it goes to service the BS9000 without having replaced with a new CD laser and associated circuit boards?.

If you are lucky then the laser lens needs cleaning but in all probability the cure will be a replacement laser kit.

Make sure that you order the right kit for your model as there are several, depending on the type number of the 9000

Hi Graham, I received today the CD laser kit, but before I began to work to change the CD laser I tried BeoSound 9000 and now see what happens my BS9000 works again.

It was still unused since 23 April 2011 now works again.
I have no idea about the error come back?. Hopefully not.

It could have happened with control of the CD laser, that I also cleaned the laser.

We'll see, I will come back.

I usually does require a replacement laser kit for a permanent cure.
