BS2300 - CD Clamp not working

    Hi all,

my beloved bs2300 cd clamp stopped working today. I can still play cd's, the doors do work, but have to force the clamp to open and hold it by hand. I can hear the engine noise, but no action... Do I need a B&O doctor or is it something I might do myself?

    Tks

    Miguel

The rubber drive band has either come off or is broken. I must admit that I have never seen one broken before but I can't think of anything else that it might be.

Easy to replace as long as you are capable of getting the case apart to get at it from the rear.

You will require a Torx screwdriver and a thin blade such as a butter knife to prise the back off.

    Regards Graham

I had exactly the same problem couple weeks ago, and I didn't mind it, therefore I made a big mess. The rubber drive band got stacked in to some electronic moving parts so eventually doors stopped working and on the end all BS2300. So, turn it off and take it ti the service ...
