My beloved Serene, my main personal phone since 2006, seems to have developed a fault:  after being on a call for a couple of minutes, all of a sudden the sound starts to break up and becomes distorted and echoing.  Ending the call and starting again clears the fault briefly, but it returns more and more quickly on each attempt. Happens on every call now.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I actually just found a thread from 2007 where a couple of people had experienced the problem. Would be great to find out if anyone managed to get it fixed, or whether I will need to finally retire the Serene.
