    Wifi commands with Beo6

    Hi everyone,

    As a happy user of the Beo5, I wonder if the upgrade to the Beo6 could help me to control peripherals by wifi...

    Does anybody already tried to program a Beo6 with CT 4.11 to send commands over wifi? Or is that currently not available?

    It could open a lot of new possibilities for this remote... I hope that the wifi is designed to be as customizable as the IR!

    Not yet released, so the options are not well described yet. However, the software is expected in April I thought.

    Interesting... So let's hope that the april update provide us a whole new way to play with the Beo6...Big Smile

    Hi,

    in my B6 I cannot find any Wifi settings so if I understand taht right here they are not available although mentioned in the Manual? I have software 1.00a on it and I do not know whther I can upgrade to any further software with 4.11 Config toool?

    Dear Oliver,

    I think that the manual was printet without having in mind that the WiFi part of the project could be delayed Wink

    You have the latest software, mine is also 1.00a, I guess that the WiFi menus will become visible with the next software version...

    alright, thank you, that helps :-). I was searching for them all last night and finally thought they may not be there. B+O does not even have the courtesy to mention that in the manual....

    When the WIFI software is available will cover art on the Beo 6 also be enabled?

    one would expect it but with B+O one never knows and also how far that goes is unclear. Just the fact that it is WIFI G I find irritating, N would be standard...probably the chip was 3-4 cents cheaper ...B+O is on the way down I think
