Cannot share phone book between Mk2 and Mk1

Hi, I have a Beocom 6000 mk2 that I have used for some years and my phone book is filled with stored names and numbers. The Handset type is Common.  Now I have bought a used Beocom 6000 mk1. I have connected it to the base and it works fine.  Now I want to share the phone book from the first phone. But when I choose Handset/Base COMMON I get an error saying  PHONE BOOK ** NOT BASE 1 ** . And if I choose PERSONAL I have to re enter  all number in the phone book of the second phone.

If anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it.

I think you probably have not registered the handset with the base completely correctly. I would rest the hand set and start again making sure you register it with the base - Have you got the full user manual and do you know the reset method?Press the red dot and then enter 70009 follwed by OK to reset the handset.

Hi Peter, Thank you for your quick response. I have now entered dot 70009 to reset the handset and reconnected the mk1 phone with the base, so the phone works again. The phone book is now set to COMMON. But for the last couple of hours it  says Phone Book Updating when I press any of the top 3 buttom or turn the wheel. In the manual it says it will only take a couple of minutes. Should I just wait or is there another trick?

    I'd let it run today.
