    Exit on Beolink 1000

Anyone know the sequence for this? The PUC for Sky+HD changes the "backup" function on the box to 'exit' (previously 'stop'). No problem for beo4 but I have two link TV's which use the BL1000. Thanks for advice.

I don't think there is one.

There are things you just cannot accomplish with some of the B&O remotes. I have myself been wondering how to generate a "PC" command with the Beolink 5000 which I use in a bedroom. I would have expected [SHIFT]+[STORE] to work, but it does not.

Thanks for the reply. I'll have to live with it or get some more beo4's. The PC shift store command certainly works with the BL1000 so you would expect the 5000 to be the same. Maybe someone else can help?

Just an idea, maybe you'll have to reconfig the BL5000 to "One Way Communication" for audio and video.

That´s a very good idea. Smile

Perhaps I should have mentioned that my BL5000 was configured for one-way communication.

I don't think there is a way to generate the PC command with a BL5000 or BL7000. Neither in two-way nor one-way configuration. The obvious explanation is that the PC command simply didn't exist when these remotes were designed around 1990.

What the BL1000 really does, when you press [SHIFT] + [STORE], is to generate a PRINT command intended for a Beovision LX2500/2800 with an attached Teletext printer. As hardly anyone ever used this, the command was quickly deprecated, but it was retained in the BL1000 software for backwards compatibility. The infrared command code for PRINT (hex 0x8B in video mode) was later reused and renamed to PC when the Beolink PC Office came out in 1999.

If this theory is correct, it should also be impossible to generate a PC command with a Beo4 Mk I.
