Despite the claim, this will NOT work in a BC9300!

Graham, your knowledge of products around this era is gobsmackingly indepth - so can you tell the BeoWorld members why it won't work ?

Personally, i'm aware (rightly or wrongly) that the 9500 is a work of engineering genius, whilst the 9300 is a BeoCenter 2500 in a wide-angle casing..  However, i'm not sure exactly how the lasers differ.  They're both 'curved lasers' - but i'm sure they differ somehow - but how?

Your experience would be appreciated - i'm keen to learn myself !!

Correct! Completely different connections and it connects to a different CD interface.
