We have all seen B&O product placement in quite a few movies. If we haven't seen it the first time round, we tend to spot it later.

 

How many movies can you name with B&O products in it?

 

I know there are easy one like 'The dark knight', and 'Inception'(I think that was it?, but what other ones?

 

Wasn't there one in the Chevy Chase film, you know, one of the national lapoon movies, the Christmas one I believe.

 

 

Yes, you're right, it is the Christmas Vacation movie, and it was a Beosystem 4500. Unfortunately destroyed by a flying piece of ice! Hard to watch!

I keep my BS4500 away from all windows!

Have you seen the thread in the music/movie section about B&O in movies? It's miles long with sightings... My favorite is one I saw myself - a BeoCom 6000 in King of The Hill!

Recently a BS9000 is spotted about every episode on the series "Californication". Hank Moody has one in his hotel room. There's never any CD's in it, nor is it turned on, but music plays in the background (in the room)...

Is Red Dwarf mentioned their Evan? I am sure the Cat was wearing some B&O headphones but can't remember which episode.

In Ashton Kutcher's movie "Spread" there is a beocom 2, a beocenter 2, a pair of Beolab 4000 in Blue and a Beosound 9000. The house in which it was filmed is also amazing.

Yes, it was a 2300 in Monica's apartment (with BL2500's). I like seeing all B&O in movies and TV, but the 9000, BL8000, and BS3200 style systems are seen the most often. I really like seeing B&O being "used" in movies/TV, or sighting of rarer equipment. A few years ago, Toyota ran a commercial here in the States, that featured a Beocord 8000 being used as an answering machine. That'd be one nice answering machine! In the 80's show Magnum, P.I., in the main (Robin's nest) house, there was a Beogram 3000 (early 70's) version that was sometimes seen being used!

I recently rented out my 9000 and beolab 8000s to a TV production here in Melbourne, Australia. The show is called Outlander and will show on the ABC!!!

In Entourage, Ari's office has a BeoCenter 2+BeoLab 3 setup.  Too bad he hasn't upgraded this system when his firm became the biggest agency in Hollywood.

I once worked with a chap who owned a very rare model old MG car. He hired it out to a TV company. They crashed it and set in on fire! He got compensation, but he would rather have had the car back. The crash was deliberate and used in a film.

I watch MTV Cribs occasionally because it's shown on Sunday mornings and it's easy to watch.

Anyway, what I don't get is you've got all these people with stupid money because they wrote one stupid song. Not one of these clowns has any B&O in their houses! They spend all this money on ugly white palaces and cars with bling bling wheels.

Someone needs to show them B&O and how to tastefully decorate!!

What a sick movie with the Beo4 he opens a motorized sliding wall ,niceee.... attached to the wall there is Beovision 7 with a nice black Beolab 7.1. But as an audio system he uses a Pro-Ject 9.2 turntable ... Bang & Olufsen definetly need a new high-end turntable :D

Off topic, but I agree completely!  A new Beogram would be absolutely stellar.  Does anyone have any pull with their product planners here?? :)

 

 

There are a few on MTV Cribs - Zola has a BV5 + 4 BL5's just in one room! and plenty more all over his house.

But loads in lots of films! :-)

There was a documentary on a while back about Mike Tyson.

There was a BS9000 & BL8000's in that and Tyson and some young kids (his kids I think) were filmed very close to the B&O stuff in a domestic style & setting.

Cant remember what channel it was on - but it was certainly worth a watch, even without the B&O gear

In one episode they listened to old tapes on a portable LoFi black box! In that scene you could see the 2300 in the background! Sadly!
