Here they are besides the BV10. Certainly add a lot to the sound experience.
Will post better pics later.

Re: Beoworld January 1:st Price arrived
I think everyone should be required by terms of the draw to post pictures of their new prizes.
Well done Hiort!

Looks very good.
As you said you need some cable-work ;-) Thank god it is only 2 days to the weekend
Actualy concerning your list of products own I was wondering what you are doing with your BeoLab3. Maybe they are moving into the rear for some DDS?

Re: Beoworld January 1:st Price arrived
We have similar layout, with other kit.
Had Lab 40000 up where the lab 3 is in the picture..as L&R speakers...... so when we got some lab 6000, initially they went on the floor either side of the TV...with a view to moving the "rears" from the top left & right corners.
Never bothered - it sounds great - the rear channel for films is still OK, strangely - maybe an acoustic trcik like thoose sound-bar , all in one dolby speakers...but, for music, in speaker 4, it sounds great.
There soundstage is massive, and tonally it really suits the folky/acoustic stuff we mainly listen to.
So...try it for a bit...

Re: Beoworld January 1:st Price arrived
Yep, will eventually try the Lab3:s as rear speakers. However, it feels little bit as a vaist, since the will play relatively little as rears./c

Re: Beoworld January 1:st Price arrived
"Daisy chain" them as secondary left and right speakers alongside the lab8000's ...you may be pleasantly surprised.

Re: Beoworld January 1:st Price arrived
Great setup Claes! I bet it seems quite hard to imagine it without the 8000s now.
folkdeejay: Daisy chain
If you do daisychain them as Dave suggests, I'm not sure if the 3s or the 8000s have two powerlink sockets, you might need a splitter.

Thanks!
Agree regarding regarding prizes and pictures. Maybe a "Sticky thread" that stays on top of the forum. I´ll check with Lee.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I´m not sure why a "daisy chain" would benefit the sound. Sounds awkward to hear e.g. a door squeaking to the left, also squeaking behind you to the left.

Hi Claes,
I mean use them where they are - if you put them behind you, then certainly you should set them up as rears
But my initial point is the left and right channell can come from
multiple speakers, to give a wide /enhanced soundstage, such as you now
have with the arrival the 8000's ...it may seem counter - intuitive,
but actually not unknown, and not too far removed in principle from the idea behind
the new Sound system in TV's that spreads sound around multiple
speakers.

Those Beolab 8000's look fab with the Beovision 10. Very nice setup.
Beoworld's twenty-eighth ninth prize winner and fifty-first second prize winner. Best £30 I've ever spent!

Re: Beoworld January 1:st Price arrived
Evan: DJ,I agree with you. My large system is setup with 4 three-way main loud speakers. I have to say - the soundstage/image is absolutely incredible. I would suggest to anyone with an extra pair of speakers do this.My new favorite entertainment is watching concerts on DVD, I feel like I'm there.
yep - nothing beats a big soundstage, with depth, space and a sort of effortless sound - particularly for music ...great results can be had, somehow greater than the sum of the two pairs ....heard this in a few rooms, and I have to say, I would try this before putting in rears every time.
Really good two /three channel is better than average 5 channel....a bit of movement round the room is fine, specially for sfx, but its still not as good as a HUGE sounding front L c R set up.....assuming its a choice of one or the other....obvioulsy adding rears to a LL c RR set up would give you the movemnt front to back as well.

100% Correct, perfect description. This is a great way to listen and I hope many people try this - you won't regret it!!
