Projector install with bvis 7-40 mk3

    Hi

Looking for some advice,we are going to be doing an install of some bang & oulufsen equipment most of it is straight forward, it is the main room, where the cust will have a beovision 7-40 mk3, they have a projection screen already installed, which has it's own remote plus it also has rs232, they also have a projector Epson TW440 or the TW5500, will these work ok with the beovision 7-40 mk 3, would appreciate any help

    Kai :)

yes it should be fine, you will have to manually turn on the projector or program direct control off the beo5 or use a lintronic box.

I recommend a Lintronic - 238 box for cinema control. The box can be triggered by the cinema control outputs of the BV7-40 and can control the projector and the motor screen by IR or RS 232.

    More info: http://www.lintronic.dk/AppNote_BeoSystem_RS232_IR.pdf

                    http://www.lintronic.dk/Support.asp?Supported_BRANDNAME=EPSON

My setup even controls light and blinds. Works great.

Thanks for that, if the rs232 from the projector then goes into the screen then to bvis 7 would that trigger, the screen to come down and the projector to switch on, or would I need to use the linntronic box??

No. BV7 just delivers a close/open contact. This contact - there are two actually - trigger the Lintronic box, and the box will control all your cinema devices via a macro incl. the popcorn machine. See the Lintronic instuction manual.
