    Beomaster 8000 turntable ground

I'd like to hook up an old Technics turntable to my Beomaster 8000. I basically have the turntable and the 8000 connected via RCA cables. There is a ground cable on the turntable, but I have no clue as to where on the amp it should go, or even if it needs to be grounded at all. All the information I'm finding online says two different things. Some says it needs to be grounded depending on certain factors, while other information says the opposite.

The music quality currently seems fine, but I DO notice that if you touch the tonearm or platter with your finger when the Beomaster 8000 is on and the record player off, you'll get an effect similar to touching a live mic. Meaning.. there is a slight sound that can be heard as a direct result of my touch. Am I correct to think this doesn't seem right?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Your Beomaster 8000 has a grounding finger-screw right next to the antenna sockets.
    It needs grounding.

That fixed my issue. I completely overlooked it.

    Thanks so much!
