There was one on the B&O website, but I believe it has now stopped.

Google translation works fine from Danish to English but translated to Dutch gives funny resultsSmile Btw, not so many posts or replies on that site...

    Yes - thumbs up

Beoworld's twenty-eighth ninth prize winner and fifty-first second prize winner. Best £30 I've ever spent!

BeoSpain is indeed very good - it started as the Spanish forum here and then decamped. I never really worked out why as now they have to pay for their own server and the Spanish forum here died to such an extent that it wasn't worth keeping it running. As long as they are happy is the main thing.

Boworld started small but has worked because the original ethos was to try to make sure every question got an answer. I was the original moderator and every night would go through every query and find out an answer - and sometimes it was right! Big Smile

These days I have no such need as we have such a knowledgeable crowd that people are fighting to get the first reply in! What makes BeoWorld is the members though and the fact that people will go out of their way to be helpful.

Have to agree with that too. Must admit I have lost count of the times I have recieved parts I need for free. Also repaid the favour many times too. Not sure I know of many forums where you get that. That's just one of the reasons why Beoworld works so well!

I can see the point of other language forums though. BeoWorld is quite English in its emphasis and tone and I do imagine that this may grate at times. We have set up other language areas but the General Forum is really the lifeblood of the site and is obviously in English. As long as we all get on together, I have no problem with this. There are big advantages to speaking as a collective especially when it comes to visits to Struer etc.

There is in DK a forum with a thread for B&O

    http://www.hifi4all.dk/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=66882&TPN=51

The one that started the thread is our member Friedmet, and on the thread there is often links to Beoworld.

Beosound 3000, BL 4000, BL 8000, BG 2404,BG 5000, BG CD50, Beocord 5000, BM 901, BM 2400, BM 4000, BV S45, BV 3702. There is nothing we cannot do, but a lot of things we don't want to do!!

Stay well away from avforums , most over modded forum on the entire net.

I was banned after a mod declared I lied over having two of one av item. LOL

There was another site I joined, which I won't name. That was so over modded it was unbelievable. Also they close threads all the time. Think I made a total of 8 posts, 6 of which got modded in some way or another. Not been back since! Should have known what it would be like when the rules state the following........Also, while we grant our users the utmost discretion and freedom, there is no guaranteed right of free speech.Hmm

    AV Forums. Ridiculous.

I think I have been told off in one way or another on every 10 posts I have made on there. Crazy stuff.

The last (and final) thing that happened to me on there was me taking the trouble to write a long and in-depth review of a product to help someone out, only to be told that the thread is over 30 days old so I can't reply to it! A good 20 minutes or so of my time I will never get back!

For this reason I will occasionally go on there to browse the for sale section but that is about it really!
