BeoLab 3500 SW upgrade - no longer works.

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere - I can't find it though.

I have just started to upgrade the PCBs in my 3500 link speakers to SW 2.1.  The speaker no longer talks to the source via ML.  I can select any source - the source name illuminates but nothing else.  No CD track number, no volume control.  I don't get the clock either.

If I play a CD through another 3500 and turn the upgraded one on to CD, again no sound, nor can I control the CD.  However, if I select MENU 0 3 PLAY I get an ML SEL. option (MasterLink Select?) and I then get the sound playing from the source.

If I return the old PCB and revert back to the old software, it works fine.

    Help greatly appreciated.

This may be simple. . but does the 3500 have an option setting?

I did the update myself.  .I'll tell you the only real thing I notice is that it now

says N.Music instead of A.Tape2 however, it worked fine for me. . maybe it's a bad board?

I'm ready for something new that I actually want to buy!

Thanks for the pointer.  Tried a different board and it works fine, so the first one I tried must be faulty.
