    Beocom 6000 and 'No signal'

My BeoCom 6000 refuses, all of a sudden, to ring. The display shows 'No signal', although the handset is firmly on its base and all the appropriate lights are showing. The odd thing is that messages are still being taken by the answering machine. Any guidance will be gratefully received.

The answer machine works independently of the telephone.

Try switching off the power to your base station and switch off the handset for a minute. Then power up the base station and finally switch the handset back on. with luck, the handset may reestablish contact with the base.

If that doesn't work time for a trip to your dealer to get it repaired.
