    BV8-40 owners please help

    Hi all,

I been messing around in some settings which I probably shouldn't have touched in the first place...

My TV picture is rather dark... will a friendly BV8-40 owner please check their TV setting in the following menu...

    Press:  Menu / 0 0 GO / Monitor / Picture adjustments / Picture adjustments / Adaptive Backlight

    BL High              ???
    BL Low               ???
    PW Debug          ???
    Direct BL Adj      ???

    Regards
    Claus

I was the second place winner on the BeoWorld May 2009 Prize Draw!

Thanks to BeoWorld for a great site!

Thank you Stan and Shaun! Big Smile

My TV settings are similar to Shauns. So maybe this isn't the problem!?

If all else fails, it is possible to do a reset to default and start again.

If all else fails, is it possible to call your dealer and ask for support?

Surely not......and don't call me Surely ;-)  I think the wisdom and kindness expressed by BeoWorlders is amazing.  This TV is under warranty, the owner paid for that warranty and support from a dealer and national tech support, and there is specification for that screen.  That's why they exist.

    LOL

You are of course correct. A customer meddling with the settings wouldn't be covered by Bang & Olufsens warranty BUT, that's where customer service comes in. I would fully expect the local dealer to offer whatever support was required.
