I have a working Beomaster 5000 tuner in Rosewood for sale. I bought this when I was trying to build a 5000 system from the separate parts, but a teak system came my way first, hence I was left with a 5000 tuner on its own!

There is a slight tarnish on the tuning slider and the numbering on the bottom scale had slightly rubbed off in a couple of places. Apart from that, it's in good condition for its age.

Am open to offers on this. It's off on eBay next week, so be quick!

Spotted it earlier John. Have to admit I'm also surprised it never sold, as the demand for these was very high I thought.

I believe in this case, a lone unit will be much harder to sell than a Beomaster+Beolab combo, as the tuner is not very useful by itself (in B&O context) - and then you'll be left looking for a lone amp. That makes it a case for only the more determined collectors

I bought all three of my units as single items and most I see on eBay are lone units, but I'm sure this one will go well with 8 watchers and a bid in the first hour alone :)

This is weird Craig, 40 watchers and not a single bid? So that can happen on Ebay? Shoot, I have lots of things to sell on Ebay.

Lucky thing (I guess) I sold just for an hour ago 3 broken MMC cartridges for 30 euro's each to someone in Germany (think it's Axel).

Not so many watchers though.... At the same time I sold a Beocom 9800 complete in the original box with extra accessories for just 53 euro's. I was expecting more, but in this case I don't mind because Spiros bought it and he's a nice guy

Ebay is so unpredictable...

Tuners are a bit tricky - the 5000 is a brilliant example but in unrestored state (the front panel is a pain to redo) and being FM only, it will attract only the B&O connoisseur! Best of luck anyway!

This one is in good condition and I would have been happy to have it in my collection had the teak duo not come along first. The originality aspect is quite important for me, but each to their own. I'm hoping two or three connoisseurs want this one and bid against each other!

That's because people stick items on watch just to track with no intention of buying at that stage! You do notice dips in interest at certain items as well... A very nice gram 4000 went for £205 recently when a few weeks ago a similar example went for £360!

It would be very interesting for my collection but I'm really scared of the shipping costs to Greece!!! John, how much would you sell it for?

The 5000 is a must have! The tuner is not particularly heavy compared to the amp -so shipping may not be too bad!

You may get lucky and a nice lab will show up to complete the set in the near future -unless I beat you to it as I need a pair of labs to complete a pair of unmatched tuners!
