my question is,  the display in one of my speakers has gone, is the display repairable, can it be replace with one from Ridax or does anyone on here know where i can get one from, either a broken amp someone has lying about or one to buy

Most probably it's the background lamp that ist broken. This lamp lights the lcd display from behind and when it's broken you don't see anything (obvious). I have a pair of BeoLab 5000 (the bigger brother of the 3000s) and I have the same problem. If you shine with a pocketlamp directly on the dislay you maybe can see that the display still works but ist just not lit...

Maybe a B&O dealer can help you with that. If not, try some electro-technics freak store, perhaps they have the intuition to be able to repair it.

search is over, have secured and purchased 2 new display modules for the beolab 3000 speakers. 

pick up tomorrow, so i will have once fitted and 100% perfect set of Beolab 3000 speakers

So fitted the new displays today and have the most perfect set of beolab 3000 on my wall.  just love the display...
