Indeed! That's what I told the seller and she won't admit it!

Either it's a hybrid made up with different parts or it is indeed a 6002...

The platter is Beogram 6002-style, the keys are 6000-style black and the digital display is showing '33' instead of '33.33'

Here is a picture of my 8002 in comparison

There was something similar on ebay uk recently HERE - At least any winning bidder careful enough to read the full text knew what they were getting, although it was still a little missleading, and went for much more than it was worth in my opinion!

There was an Ebay auction a couple of years ago. For what appeared to be a Beogram 4002. It was a really well put together description with lots of very good pictures. It was only when you read it very carefully that you realized. It was only for the cartridge.Super Angry

Re: Beogram 8000? This can't be right!

I have noticed a lot of b&o on ebay that is not as described recently. I went to look at a Beolink 7000 recently and got quite excited about owning one of these beasts. It was described as having surface scratches and not tested with two way, but everything else ok. Asking him he said not too bad and could be polished out, oh but knackered battery etc...

When I saw the thing the lower panel had been covered in some sort of thin silver vinyl, (although it still turned the device on but what he was trying to cover up is anyones guess!) there was a chip in the top corner of the glass panel and you had to press quite hard on the lcd to get any response!!! Needless to say I told him I would not be bidding at the starting price of £70! It went for £90 in the end and no feedback has been left yet...

There is also a Beolink 5000 on atm and after probing the guy many times (5) with pretty much the same questions I have determined it has got many more issues than either the description or he admits to!!!

Two words spring to mind - Caveat emptor!

Last time I checked these were still available new. That was about 4 years ago iirc. Mentioned to my dealer I was thinking of getting one on Ebay for my MX5500 I had at the time. That was when they said they were still available new. Just never bothered in the end, as it was only a second set for the bedroom.

That's interesting, I contacted my local dealer about a spare rubber keypad and he said spares for this model are no longer available and I should try ebay!!!

Not sure what happened there, sent you an email. Maybe the mods or yourself might want to delete your email now...?
